Food and Sleep Research Study — Paid up to $1550

Studying How Your Body Converts Food into Energy During Different Times of the Day

Researchers at The University of Chicago are studying the effects of meal timing. Healthy individuals, age 35 – 75 are needed for this research study. Your participation will require an overnight and two separate 6-day stays in the laboratory. You will receive up to $1550 for your participation, if you are not diabetic, a non-smoker and are interested in participation.


You may be paid up to $1550 for completing all parts of the study. To see if you are eligible for our study, you will go through a screening process ($150). If you are eligible to be a part of our study, you may continue on with the following sessions: Ambulatory & Baseline ($600), then Intervention ($800)

1. Have you ever done shift work (work late at night or early in the morning)? And if so, was it over six months ago?


2. Have you ever been told by a doctor you have diabetes?

4. Have you ever been told by a doctor you have sleep apnea?
